Lots going on lately!

This is going to be a very random post.

I went on a date with a guy in my ward named Sam Tillman. We saw Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. It was the funnest concert I have been to. They all played like 5 different instruments (mostly strings:banjo, guitar, bass...) and they were awesome!!! Their music is so good too! The lead singer was AMAZING! He could fiddle like nobody's business while singing perfectly. He was playing so hard that the strings on his bow were breaking right and left.

I am no longer FHE mom, but we have had some awesome activities lately. A couple of weeks ago we played racketball. Here are some pics (don't those BYU t-shirts look fantastic on all of us?):

Last week we talked the guys into doing some yoga with us. It was quite the sight! They actually got really into in and dressed up too.
I had an eventful day last Tuesday. I had to copy some music for my piano class so I went to the library to do this. There was one problem. The pages to the book that my music was in was about 9" by 14". Who does that? Why dont they just make it the normal size? Anyways, that wasn't the only problem. The library got all new copiers lately so you can just scan your ID card and copy. You know what? They rejected my card! So I went online to make sure I had money on my card. I sure did. I decided that it was just the one copier that didn't like me, so I went to one on the next level. I was wrong. That one hated me to. I got a librarian, but because of the size of my book, she couldn't figure out how to do it. Great. I was there with her for an hour. Her name is Rebecca too, but not spelled as cool as my name. Anyway...I needed that music copied that day and I was getting frustrated and I went to like 3 different places, but none of them would work. I went to see Lanae at work and told her and she told me where to go. FINALLY! I got it to work.

The next problem was that I was planning on practicing the piano for my class for a few hours, but because of the copy problem I didn't have that much time. I went to the HFAC anyway and started to practice. About 20 minutes into my practicing, all the practice rooms in the basement of the HFAC went out!! It was dead quiet for about 5 seconds and then people started talking and trying to find their way out of the rooms. Seriously, I could not see and inch in front of my face! My metronome was beeping annoyingly and I couldn't find it. The funny thing was that some crazy people were still playing these amazing songs in the pitch black. How did they even find the right note to start on? Well the lights came on a little later and I got some more practicing in.

The craziness of the day does not end there. It was about 5:30 when I got on the bus. I remember trying to call my mom on the way there, but when I got home I couldn't find my phone for the life of me. I was getting really worried. My phone is my lifeline. I don't know how people lived without cell phones. It keeps me connected with work, family, friends, everyting! I was going crazy trying to call it with my friend's phone, but no such luck. Defeated, I sat down on the couch and slept my worries away...until I woke up. I woke up suddenly and realized that I had to go to a work meeting in about 5 minutes. I ran over to my friends house who was driving me there.

I got home and I was still way bummed about my phone. I had resigned to the fact that I left it on the bus. Fat chance I was getting it back. The man who wanted to be my companion probably took it since I wouldn't let him have me. Well it turns out that as I got in bed that night, it was there at my feet. I felt stupid to say the least. I was really relieved, though.

This post is really long. I think I will finish my stories in a new one.
